Thompson Reuters
Large Scale Pattern Library
Thompson Reuters needed a new system to integrate over a thousand web properties that they owned, most that were acquired overtime and outdated. We set out to create a system that could be used to construct multiple web pages in a controlled but flexible environment. Made up of components, regions and templates, all constrained by a set of governing rules. Each page template and component had a specific intent and purpose.
The complex navigation and site structure was a major focal point of the project. My role on this project was primarily focused on information architecture and interaction design, I also led the internal team of visual designers and developers, and as well as managed the client relationship.
Genuine Health
Product Page Redesign
Genuine Health was looking for a way to tell a story around their products. By creating a product page template for their existing website we were able to help them do that. I took the lead on the project designing the interactions of the page, client management and art direction of the visual design, photography and how-to video.
Canadian Institute for Health Information
Wait Times Redesign
The Canadian Institute for Health Information asked us to redesign their wait time app. When I approached this problem I drew on a lot of inspiration from various visualization tools and infographics. Taking this stance, I felt that prototyping the interactions at every step of the way was important to ensure the information was easily consumed and that the tool was easy to use. My role on this project was primarily interaction design, I also helped direct the visual design and performed browser testing.
Waterloo Region District School Board
Futures Forum Project Video
The Waterloo Region District School Board needed help creating a video to showcase a new technology initiative. They had been having trouble reaching all teachers and felt that a video of teachers and students participating in the program would help uptake. We took a documentary style approach to this project, interviewing both teachers and students.
We created a story line through various storyboards, though really let the field research speak for itself. I created interview guides, conducted interviews, managed client expectations and relationship, as well as produced and directed the video.
